All Men Are Created Equal. That's What I Was Taught.

I’ve written this blog for several years and have been able to refrain from using it as a place to spill my personal guts during difficult times. I don’t talk politics. I don’t like to talk politics, but I want to get this off of my chest before inauguration day where I will begin my 4 year residency in a bunker, or another country.

The Positive Tree Of Life
This past election was one of the most emotional and upsetting  times of my life. I’m not sure if I will ever recover. I’m serious. I’m afraid that the country is now plagued with pictures in their head that they won’t ever remove. For example, this morning I saw two video clips taken from schools around America. The first one was a bunch of kids chanting to the Mexican kids in the class room; “Build The Wall, Build The Wall!” The second was a high school boy walking through the halls with a Trump / Pence campaign sign yelling “White Power!”

The harsh reality here is that these children developed these chants from watching the recent campaigns. It wasn’t the crooked or biased press that put those words in the kids heads, it was the people who spoke them! I’m not saying that one candidate was better or worse, just that the behavior was totally unacceptable. With bullying being such a hot topic in schools for the past 10 – 15 years, causing suicide and depression in kids, adults need to stop it! They need to tell abusive people to stop! No one deserves to be demeaned. Period.

This morning I saw a tweet from the President Elect stating that the "hired professional" protesters in the streets all over the country are behaving unfairly. I wonder if he’s aware that we have a constitution that allows for us to speak our feelings. Maybe the protesters feel as though they were treated unfairly. Maybe they're speaking on behalf of themselves because of his demeaning words and not because somebody is paying them. Maybe the President Elect should learn to take responsibility for his words and realize that in a position such as his, he should learn about truth and compassion.

I will accept that the people have voted, and our system allows someone who received fewer popular votes to win the election. I get it, but I will defy every demeaning or bigoted word that comes out of his mouth. I will do my best to defend what I believe in, and I would hope that we will all teach others how to apologize when they have stooped too low.

I believe in climate change. I believe in justice for all. I believe in gender equality. I believe in treating all people equally. I believe in loyalty. I believe in liberty. I believe in helping each other. I believe in the constitution, I believe in the truth, and I believe in my right to a firearm, believe it or not.

What I don’t believe in is war, dishonesty, bullying, prejudice and bigotry, disrespect of the environment and each other, or a President Elect who will not give citizens the right to peaceful protest as provided for in our constitution. What other American Liberties are we about to lose?

Now, more than ever, everybody needs to cut the crap and support each other like we’re all Americans, and according to our founding fathers, we’re all created equal. This is not open to argument!

The Moon Was Spectacular Over The Weekend!

Ask E.R. Nurses or your local police, and they will tell you that when the moon is full, the incidences of accidents and violence significantly elevate.
The moon exerts an electromagnetic pull on water, which is what our bodies are mostly made of.

The cycles of the moon affect the balance of ions in the atmosphere which affects the number of positive ions on the earths surface. The reasonant pattern of the ocean waves has been set in motion by the gravitational effect of the orbiting moon on the rotating earth over a period of time.

When the positive ions mix with the ones on the earths surface that are more negatively charged, it results in changes in our bloodstream. Blood cells and the walls of our veins and arteries usually hold a negative charge. This allows for a free flow of blood.

When the moon is full, the ions in our blood become more positive, so the flow of blood gets stickier. This directly affects the efficiency of our body to oxygenate itself. The result? Possible headache, stress, and tension.

Plants, specifically pines and asparagus ferns, emit tons of negative ions, as do large bodies of water like lakes and the ocean.  If you tend to be stressed or over-anxious during full moon cycles, try going camping, or going out and enjoying nature where you can. You might even find some relief in your own bathtub, or by filling your home with plants!

Research has shown in Australia, Canada, and the U.K., that there were as many studies that showed increased animal bites and there was a no higher incidence, however, a full moon makes it easier to see at night, so there are higher incidences of animals out hunting. For the same reason, there are fewer prey animals out, but because animals migrate at night, the brighter lighting allows for more incidences.

There are more hurricanes, arson, murder, epileptic seizures, and all around more aggravation during a full moon. Check the morning news today to see if there was more craziness in your neighborhood this weekend! Then, take a bath.

A Life Coach CAN Help You Succeed.

Because the term “life coach” hasn’t been around for many years, some might confuse what a life coach does. A personal coach doesn’t sing kumbaya and counsel you to tears. No counseling here.  A coach will take you beyond “I’d like to go back to school,” or “I’d like to move to a different state,” to the actual planning and implementing stage.

Working full time, taking care of a home, and life in general often take the president in getting through the days. This can become so overwhelming that achieving our dreams become nothing but dreams. Devising a plan for dream success should take as much of your day as a workout or a class. Your personal life plan should be specific. Where you might say “I’ll never be able to move to the beach,” you should be saying “I’m moving to the beach in 15 months.” YES. You can create this. Why 15 months? Because you might have to sell some stuff on eBay, or take a part time job, or do whatever it takes. The reason that you haven’t moved yet is because you said “I’ll never be able to afford it.” Maybe you couldn’t before, but you will devise the plan that will make it happen.

If you truly have dreams that you want to realize, you owe it to yourself to make it happen.  Some things that people call their personal challenges are:

Going back to school

Losing weight

Moving to a different town

Changing jobs

Starting your own business

To do any of the above things, there is an expert out there that can help. If you don’t know how to set up books for your new business, your coach can help you through. I work with several professionals that love helping people put a plan together.  Putting a blog or website together, a realistic re-location plan, a wellness program, or a job change can be easier than you think when a sound plan is devised.

For me, the fall has always been a time to get my plans together for the upcoming year. The weather is changing, and the seasons are shifting. Do it. Make this year the year of big change for you! It’s time for the change!

I WILL be back …

When I sat down to apologize for not blogging all summer, I looked at my history for the past several years, and I’ve done it every year. So I guess it would be safe to say that I’m mostly a bad weather blogger. When the fall comes around, I write more.

I haven’t wasted the summer. I planted a backyard, a small garden, converted our van to a camper, helped Al through 6 weeks of radiation, and did a lot of playing outside.

I’ll be back after Labor Day. Until then, enjoy the photos!

I hope that everybody is enjoying what's left of Summer, 2016! We've still got a couple of Hot Springs / Massage trips planned before we hunker down for the winter.

Please donate to the Louisiana recovery if you can.

Have A Cup Of Tea!

The first bowl moistens my lips and throat;
The second bowl banishes all loneliness;
The third bowl clears my mind of words and books;
At the fourth cup, I begin to perspire ---
life's troubles evaporate through my pores.
The fifth cup cleanses my entire being.
Six cups and I am in the realm of the divine;
Seven cups --- ah, but I can drink no more;
I can only feel the gentle breezes blowing
through my sleeves,
wafting me away to the Isle of immortality!

Zen And My New Neighbors – Get my new meditation music FREE today

We’re all drawn to the word Zen. It sounds peaceful and … Zen. As a trained meditator, I’ve studied many different styles of relaxation and meditation, but sometimes the goal of doing everything right gets in the way. Although Zen Meditation is easy to do, it requires a silent focus. I think about how I’m sitting, if my eyes are open or closed, if my tongue is pressed against the top of my mouth, etc.

I’ve got new neighbors. Even though it’s illegal to burn trash, they do it every day. My house smells like toxic smoke and no matter how many times I’ve nicely asked them not to do it, they continue. It makes me so angry that sitting in a silent meditation is almost impossible to do, and that’s my point. Sometimes telling yourself to relax or “get over it” just won’t work.

As a matter of health, allowing stress to dominate your thoughts is detrimental. The problem is when you’re too stressed, meditation can be a job. Yeah, we all want to burn candles and be Zen, but I start to re-visit my anger, my knee starts to bounce, and I’m in an argument with myself to relax.

As some of you know, I’ve started to work more extensively in the relaxation and meditation genre and have begun to create music for the purpose of meditation and finding silence. This isn’t the typical new age music that is played during a massage. These are sounds recorded in specific intonations to create a vibration in the body that brings natural silence.

I have just completed a project that is around 9 minutes long and contains 108 gongs along with other specific bells and background vibrations. You can add 108 prayers, visualizations, mantras, or stay silent. It is not converted to an mp3 yet, but can be played on almost every smart phone as an m4a. I’ll probably convert it later today.

If you’d like to be one of the first few to preview my new DEEP RELAXATION project, send an email to and they will send it to you today.

I am very proud to be creating sounds that will help with stress, pain relief, relaxation, and meditation. I look forward to input from those who sample this new meditation!

The "Winner" Aint Nothing But A Bully

  • Just a few failures so far ... CLICK on them to see what TIME has to say about each one.
  • Trump Airlines
  • Trump Vodka
  • The Bankruptcies
  • The Hair
  • The Marriages
  • Trump Mortgage
  • Trump: The Game
  • The China Connection
  • Trump Casinos
  • The Middle East 'Policy'
  • I’m just as mad as everyone else about the behavior of our government and politicians. Obama Care cost me a fortune, the economy is still pretty lousy, although it is better than it was a few years ago, the government is in debt and still flailing, etc., etc.  My problem is the way the candidates that stand a chance of turning things around are acting. Donald Trump acts like a vulgar, abusive, 8th grade bully. Do the people that are voting for a guy that wants to punch a heckler in the face, and shoot people with bullets dipped in pigs blood really think that when given the power that he will be honest and true to them? Any truer than politicians past? I’m not so sure.
  • Why do we have to be hateful and mean to get something accomplished, or to get elected, for that matter? I’m disappointed that such a large number of people see Trump as a solution. I’m not sure how it will go, but I like that John Kasich is at least handing out sincere hugs to people who really need them the most. Make love, not war.

    Help The People Of Flint, Michigan

    I’ve been through a violation of my drinking water in Colorado. We were just a bunch of ranchers that lived in an area where gas drilling got out of control. The air was polluted, and although the gas drilling companies denied that they had caused a seep that was bubbling up in the local creeks where our livestock drank, they delivered drinking water to us for over a year. Not only that, but they drilled and installed a meter for testing for methane near our crawl space. Now, that seems like a possible admission of guilt.

    This type of violation happens in our country all the time. I truly believe that the economical class of people being violated has a lot to do with action or inaction. I can assure you that if this type of activity had happened in Aspen, not only would it have been rectified immediately, but the offenders would have been sued by the most expensive attorneys in the country.

    I feel like the water pollution situation in Flint, Michigan is like another Katrina. The majority of people affected in Flint certainly don’t have the money to sue the city for their loss of quality of life or the loss of the ability to sell their homes and run. They are literally STUCK in a toxic lifestyle with their children. This is a travesty of justice.

    As far as I know, the Governor of Michigan is still messing around with the budget to try to find the money to fix the pipes causing the problem. Again, let me re-iterate, this would not be happening in Aspen, New York, or LA where people would be suing the pants off of their local government.

    As of today, NOTHING has been done to rectify the problem with bad water in Flint, Michigan. In addition, much of the drinking water that has been donated has been from other concerned citizens and not the local government.

    Something must be done! You can help your fellow citizens by harassing Governor Rick Snyder of Michigan. You can call, Fax, or write, but please do one of those things. Our neighbors NEED your voice to help them. Think about being in their position. NOBODY will ever buy their homes. They are stuck! Please reach out as if it was you. But for the grace of God, it could be you or me. This is wrong and the children of Flint are in danger of  long term health risks.

    What IS next?

     It seems like the Covid 19 Vaccinations are going faster than expected, but states are opening up equally as fast. I want to get out again!...
